As most internet professional are fully aware, proper search engine optimization techniques are vitally important when it comes to pageranking. Ultimately it is every website marketer's goal to get their page ranked as high as possible with the major search engines. Many of the processes that are part of proper SEO include developing quality internal links, backlinks, rich content and keyword phrase density. Some techniques may be more important than others, but each contains their own relevancy when it comes to SEO. Many successful marketers place a heavy emphasis on building quality links for their site, whether they are inbound or outbound links. And two key concepts behind building quality links are deep linking and the deep link ratio.
First, deep links are links that are pointing to the interior pages of your site, and not the home page. They will be able to determine how many actual deep links your site has and will be able to use that information to obtain an accurate ratio. It is important to note that search engines do use the average in determining keyword search relevancy. Remember that this is not the only factor that determines a search engine ranking. The quality of the backlink is considered to be more important than the actual quantity.

This simply means to place content rich articles at specific sites, blogs or forums that contain similar information as your site. However, linking at the end of one's article is not always the best strategy. Many of the sites may have what is known as nofollow within their HTML code. This means that links that are placed within their site are not to be followed when a user clicks on it. Search engines disregard any link that has been hit with the nofollow label. However, some will add what is known as dofollow in their code. The theory behind this is to share content and relevant information which is commonly referred to as link juice. Article marketing is merely one strategy that is employed in one's internet marketing effort. There are many other strategies to take into consideration when building a successful campaign.

Again, keeping the procedures as simple as possible will ultimately lead to a more successful venture, but digging a little deeper into how the terms ultimately affect a strategy is required.
